Kiva has been inspired by this organization since their launch in 2015 in our hometown backyard of Oakland, CA. Executive Director Amber E. Senter is a force to be reckoned with, as is the ambitious board of directors she has assembled, which is composed entirely of women of color and business owners, the majority of which are social equity and plant-touching business owners.

In support of their valuable mission and with recognition of all of the incredible achievements they've already made, Kiva has made a donation to SuperNova in honor of this year's Women's History Month. We urge you to follow them on Instagram, visit their website, and consider donating.

ABOUT SUPERNOVA WOMEN

Supernova Women is a women of color-led non-profit organization with a mission to empower people of color to become self-sufficient shareholders in the cannabis industry. We do this through education, advocacy, and network building. Supernova Women works to lower barriers of entry in the cannabis industry for Black and Brown communities, those most harmed by the War on Drugs. Their organization worked within the city of Oakland to develop and implement the country’s first cannabis social equity program. Supernova Women produces programming and content to support Black, brown, and social equity cannabis operators, hosting a number of panel discussions, workshops, and network-building events.
